Our series is now complete for 2008.
Please stay tuned for our 2009 line up. Thank you.

Our seminars do make a difference! Here’s what people had to say about some of the water conservation measures they plan to implement after attending the Water for Tomorrow seminars:

“I will mix gravel in with lawn spaces to make shape with less lawn to water”

“I am going to increase the number of water efficient plants I have that are drought tolerant”

“I will be more aware of drought resistant varieties when I make my spring purchases”

“Less watering - WAY less watering”

“I will plant native plants that don’t need watering”

“We will get a rain barrel and add mulch”

“I’m going to introduce water (drought) tolerant plants to my landscape”

“I’m not going to use impatiens”

“Planting more "masses" of drought resistant plants”

In 2008 we hosted 15 different seminars and workshops throughout York Region and provided professional advise on designing great, water efficient and low maintenance gardens. These events were an incredible success and were booked online very early. The workshops and seminars were open to all York Region residents.

In addition to workshops and seminars, Water for Tomorrow has water-efficient demonstration gardens available for viewing at a variety of program partner locations, and water efficiency literature and products are available free of charge to all York Region residents during Water for Tomorrow’s participation at regional events.

We will be announcing the Water For Tomorrow 2009 events in February.
Thank you for your interest and see you then!
